Providing Certainty Since 1883
140 Years of Distinguished Legal Advocacy and Practical Solutions.
Weston Ward & Lascelles (WWL) isn't just a law firm; it is a Christchurch institution. Our firm was founded in 1883 when Thomas Shailer Weston, a former District Judge and Member of Parliament, opened his practice in the heart of the city.
For over 140 years, we have provided the people of Canterbury with "frank and exceptional legal advice." With a current team of 23 dedicated legal professionals, our core mission remains unchanged: providing winning solutions for everyday people.
